Renée DeTolla
Renée brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to serving her community, blending her former teaching role with her current project management expertise. As a former educator, Renee made a lasting impact through her innovative curriculum development and instructional design. Additionally, Renee has dedicated her time as a Forest Docent for Bainbridge Island Land Trust, a volunteer driver for Island Volunteer Caregivers, a docent for Bainbridge Island Museum of Art, and a member of the BCF Community Grants Cycle Evaluation Team since 2018. Her collaborative nature, leadership abilities, and unwavering dedication to educational and community initiatives highlight her as a valuable asset in driving positive change.
Andrea Joseph
Andrea is a seasoned technology and investment executive with nearly three decades of leadership experience across insurance, retail, government, and early-stage venture investing. She has a proven track record in strategic transformation, financial oversight, risk governance, and community engagement. In addition, Andrea is deeply committed to mission-driven work, with active contributions in nonprofit governance, technology enablement, youth education, and equity advocacy.
Carolyn Kimm
Carolyn is passionate about mission-driven work, and brings expertise in strategy, finance, and equity—alongside a strong commitment to nonprofit service, youth education, and community engagement. Carolyn is known for driving impact through innovation and thoughtful leadership.
Elaine Ko
Elaine is a self-employed professional with a long career in public service and multiple philanthropic sectors. She has experience in nonprofit organizations, volunteer management, public speaking, and fundraising. Elaine holds a Master's degree in Scandinavian Languages and Literature and a Graduate Degree in Business from the University of Washington. She is an avid reader with a passion for literature and film who is dedicated to supporting charitable organizations fighting domestic violence and promoting humane treatment of animals. Elaine is based in the Greater Seattle Area, where she is engaged in philanthropic and civic projects. Her recent work also includes advisory roles at the Seattle City Council and Harborview Medical Center.
Jaana Linsenmayer
Jaana Linsenmayer is a global marketing leader and adjunct professor based on Bainbridge Island. With 20+ years in the tech industry—including leadership roles at SAP, Microsoft, and Nintex—she’s passionate about building strong teams, advancing equity, and connecting big-picture strategy with local impact through education and community engagement.
Barbara Magusin
Barb is the former Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Premera Blue Cross, bringing a wealth of expertise in workforce planning, HR functions, and facilities management. Her focus on benefits, compensation, employee relations, and talent acquisition was key to attracting and retaining top-tier talent. Leading the implementation of innovative employee benefits programs, she made significant contributions during her tenure. Barbara's dedication extended to volunteering on the board of the Bainbridge Community Foundation since 2018 after serving on the board of Arts & Humanities Bainbridge, showcasing her commitment to philanthropy and community impact beyond her corporate achievements.
Jeff Mead, Treasurer
Jeff is a longtime Bainbridge Island resident, financial advisor, and dedicated community volunteer. A former teacher and lifelong coach, he’s passionate about youth, education, and service. Jeff is active in Rotary, loves working alongside student volunteers, and deeply values the impact of community—especially through the Bainbridge Community Foundation.
Peter Murchie
Peter is presently the Senior Director for Policy for the Environmental Protection Network. With specialties in collaborative governance, ecosystem restoration, environmental health, and sustainability, he is known for his adept facilitation skills addressing environmental health challenges. Peter was a 30 year federal civil servant at the Environmental Protection Agency where he most recently managed programs protecting and restoring vital ecosystems such as Puget Sound and the Columbia Basin. He is a committed volunteer and has served on the boards of organizations like the Bainbridge Schools Foundation, Bainbridge Island Football Club and Green Empowerment. Peter’s dedication to environmental health and community engagement is evident in his professional life and his contributions to various charitable causes.
David Reynolds-Gooch
David Reynolds-Gooch brings over 25 years of business leadership at 3M, spanning consumer, healthcare, and industrial businesses across 40 countries, including 5 years’ living in Belgium running a European operation. He later worked in software services guiding global accounts including Microsoft, Dell, T-Mobile and Adidas. David holds degrees from St. Olaf College, Bethel Theological Seminary (where he taught Greek), and an MBA from the University of Minnesota. Since moving to Bainbridge Island in 2005, he has served on the One Call For All board and the City’s Sustainable Transportation Task Force. With his spouse, Gaye, he co-founded Nurse Meg’s Beacon of Joy Endowment at Seattle Children’s, honoring their late daughter. An avid traveler, cyclist and kayaker, David values community, collaboration, and service.
Patrick Sheldon
Patrick was a trial lawyer for nearly 43 years before retiring in 2023. He primarily defended health care providers in courtrooms throughout Washington State. A native Western Washingtonian, Patrick enjoyed out of state experiences after completing high school in Tacoma, graduating with a BA degree from the University of California, Berkeley before going on to obtain his J.D. law degree at the Georgetown University Law Center. He started his legal career as a Legislative Assistant to Senator Warren G. Magnuson in Washington, D.C. In retirement, Patrick has pursued multiple volunteer activities in the local community. He enjoys most sports, particularly the Seattle Mariners, reading and playing with his dog at the family’s property on Hood Canal.
Ellin Spenser
Ellin is a highly accomplished professional with an extensive background in the real estate industry. Now retired, as an Associate Broker at Windermere RE/Bainbridge Island, she brought a wealth of expertise and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to her clients. Beyond her professional achievements, Ellin is deeply dedicated to making a positive impact on her community. She was a member of the Founding Board of Bainbridge Community Foundation and has devoted many years to volunteer service, including organizations such as One Call for All, Camp Siberia, and Salaam Cultural Museum, where she provided support to refugees. In 2015, Ellin also volunteered on the ground during the humanitarian crisis in Greece. Her passion for giving back, combined with her exceptional professional skills, make her a valuable asset in both the real estate industry and community-driven initiatives.
David Swartling, Secretary
David is a retired attorney with an extensive legal career. With his tenure at Mills Meyers Swartling P.S., David handled significant cases in state and federal court involving product liability, municipal and commercial law, professional negligence, and aviation. Recognized as one of Washington's top litigators, he was inducted into the prestigious American College of Trial Lawyers. David's dedication to improving the justice system led to awards from both the Washington State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Additionally, he served as Secretary of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, further showcasing his commitment to leadership and service. David is highly regarded for his expertise and contributions in the legal field.
Aly Vander Stoep, Vice President
Aly is the Assistant Vice President for Campaign at UW Medicine. Aly has 20+ years of experience in fundraising and development, and is dedicated to building meaningful and lifelong relationships between donors and the organizations they care about. As an expert in comprehensive capital campaigns, she inspires donors to make investments that empower leaders for a just and humane world. Aly has also worked at the University of Washington, where she was Director of Principal Giving, and at PeaceTrees Vietnam as Board President. She holds a BS degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, and is committed to serving her community through volunteering and philanthropy.
Hart Williams, President
Hart is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Cloud Capital Management, where he serves as a Managing Partner. With a strong background in wealth management, including his prior roles as Senior Vice President and Wealth Advisor at Bessemer Trust and Vice President at the JP Morgan Private Bank, Hart brings extensive expertise to his current position. Holding an MBA from the University of Denver’s Daniels School of Business and a BA from the University of Puget Sound, he is equipped with various FINRA licenses and certifications. Hart's commitment to community engagement is evident through his role on the Board of the Bainbridge Community Foundation, where he serves on the development committee.
Trese Williamson
Trese is a longtime resident of the Seattle area, having spent much of her early years in Burien and Capitol Hill, where she graduated from Holy Names Academy. After a period in Poulsbo, where her family owned the Poulsbo Golf Course, she began her college studies at the University of Washington before venturing to Japan for two years at Sophia University in Tokyo. Upon returning, Trese worked for United Airlines in Newark, New Jersey, before settling on Bainbridge Island in 1978 with her husband and raising their three children. She later completed her degree at UW and has been actively involved in volunteer roles, including serving on the board of the Bainbridge Public Library and chairing its Lasting Legacy Committee. Trese also previously worked for the Kitsap Regional Library as their Community Liaison, overseeing the public information department and supporting the Kitsap Regional Library Foundation.
Adrienne Wolfe
Adrienne is a retired IT consultant with 30 years of experience in the retail and telecommunications industries where she managed major projects for Washington flagship companies. She’s also been able to run a small farm on Bainbridge, be an Operating Officer for a boutique advertising agency and a juried artist. With 20+ years on Bainbridge she has raised her two girls and served the City of Bainbridge on the Historical Preservation Committee and the Cultural Advisory Board. Her additional community services include creating a financial literacy program for Helpline House, volunteering at Bloedel Reserve and participating in the annual grant cycles for both the Kitsap Community Foundation and BCF. Adrienne has her Bachelors from Tulsa University, Certificate of Management from Havard University Extension Programs and Masters in Computer Information Systems from Bentely University. Adrienne’s hobbies include trying to find her Zen through yoga, running, baking, a good book and communing with friends.
