Bainbridge Gives is OPEN - Join Us!
BCF's Community Grants Cycle (CGC) is an opportunity for Island residents to support causes that matter most to them. Whether priorities lie in providing basic needs for neighbors, creating opportunities for traditionally underserved populations, or supporting creative new initiatives in the arts sector, Bainbridge Gives (the funding phase of the Community Grants Cycle), allows for everyone in our community to participate in the CGC.
This year, BCF received over $960,000 in requests—$200,000 more than last year. From May 13th through June 13th, you can support your favorite application(s) described in our Bainbridge Gives catalog. BCF had 63 local volunteers vet and approve the applications. They reviewed proposals, checked financials, performed site visits, completed assessments, and met by sector to discuss the merits of each application.
By giving through Bainbridge Gives, you not only can give to causes you’re passionate about, but you also have the community stamp of approval that your money is going to the right place. We always receive more requests than we can fund on our own, and we need your help!
Since this program began in 2005, BCF has awarded more than $5.3 million total through its annual Community Grants Cycle. The donation is tax deductible and 100% goes directly to the request.
What to Know
- Bainbridge Gives runs now through June 13. Please give now before time runs out!
- BCF covers all credit card fees for the organizations, so 100% of your gift goes directly to the organization you support. You will receive a donor tax receipt from BCF.
- Want to give anonymously? Just click the "I wish my donation to remain anonymous" box at check out.
- To donate by check, please checks payable to Bainbridge Community Foundation and send to: 299 Madison Avenue N, Suite B, Bainbridge Island, WA 98110. Be sure to indicate which organization(s) you are supporting and the amount per request.
